ORDEÑO__________________

You accompany your local guide with his family to their fields in the mountain range. You will see how they milk their cows and take care of their animals. You can even try it for yourself!This activity can be done everyday at 5:00 am or 4:00 pm.

 

 

 

FIESTA DE LA VIRGEN__

This is one of the most important festivity in the village of Rumipamba. This fiesta usually takes place at the end of the month of February and consist of traditional masses, dances, bonfires and traditional food.

 

 

TRADITIONAL DANCES__

The town of Rumipamba has a group of traditional dancers that perform at certain occasions or for large groups. Reservations can be made.

 

 

 

LOCAL BULLFIGHTS__

Usually an annual event in Rumipamba. This is a great opportunity for any visitor to experience the true local culture. These festivities include horse riding competitions and REAL
bullfighting.

 

 

VISITING RUMIPAMBA__

We can arrange a tour with local guides to visit the town, their families, their houses, etc. This is a great way to get up close to the local people and learn about their culture.

Rumipamba's main income
comes from milk production
and agriculture. The people of
this town are very friendly and
are always happy to lend visitors
